Hi, my name is Paul Conlan. I am 18 years old and I was born in Drexel Hill PA. I’m currently a senior at Springfield High School. I am in the Dual Enrollment Program at Delaware Community College. Some of my favorite hobbies are fishing and golfing. I am currently in a relationship for the past year. I have a cat named Sparkles and is 16 years old.
Who are my favorite writers and/or composers? I am not much of a reader but I would have to say Mark Twain is one of my favorite writers. I enjoy reading his work. My favorite book by him is “ The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” . This book I could read over and over.
What types of writing do I enact most often? I enact different kinds of writing mostly through email and text. I also engage in different types of genres when I write in my other classes. Usually when I am writing it is because I have a deadline for an assignment other than that I never have an urge to write for fun.
When do I write? Consider physical and emotional places. Writing is not something I choose to do. When I write it is usually for a class assignment with a deadline, but then again I do write every single day through text and email.
Where do I write? Consider physical and emotional places When I write I have to be in a room where nobody can bother me and it is just me and my laptop. My laptop is the main thing that I write on because to me I find it easier to get my thoughts down on paper.
Why do I write? To be honest, well I write because I have to in order to keep a good grade in my classes. Writing is not something I would choose to do, but writing is a way for me to express my thoughts and opinions. How have my past experiences shaped my author identity and how can I reshape my author identity in this course? I never even had a relationship with my author identity because I never knew I had an author self. This class is going to help me become someone better when it comes to writing. I can help change my relationship with my author self just by putting a little more effort into everything.
